Kengo Kuma & associates has designed an observation deck at the top of Nihondaira, a scenic spot of Mount Fuji. Its octagonal-shape was inspired by Horyuji temple. INAX floor tiles are installed in the exhibition area on the first floor, and the design reproduces the limestone used in historical buildings such as museums and churches in Europe. The soft expression and the flowing patterns and textures of natural stone create a calm and relaxing exhibition space.
